Job requirements

What will you do?

As a senior EM Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of our gene and cell therapy products, as well as the environment of our GMP facility, by working in accordance with NecstGen procedures. Your primary focus will be on performing environmental monitoring in our various cleanrooms, while complying with our requirements for aseptic handling and gowning. In addition, you will support the department by conducting quality tests, testing incoming goods, receiving GMP samples, analyzing data, and reporting results.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and collecting environmental samples in a GMP environment (Assessing air cleanliness based on particle concentration and/or contamination by viable microorganisms), including data recording and reporting;

  • Supporting and performing microbiological tests, such as total viable evaluation, Gram staining, bioburden testing, growth promotion tests, endotoxin, mycoplasma and rapid sterility.

  • Conducting quality control activities, such as analyzing and testing incoming goods;

  • Providing laboratory support by performing tasks such as equipment maintenance and calibration, preparation of samples and reagents, document management, etc.;

  • Complying with GMP and safety standards;

  • Continuously improving capabilities and keeping up with GMP training.

Who are you?

We are seeking a senior EM Technician with:

  • A secondary vocational education (MBO) diploma in a relevant field (such as microbiology) and/or relevant work experience;

  • Written and verbal communication skills in English, Dutch is a plus but not a necessity;  

  • Experience with microbiological techniques such as endotoxin, bioburden, and sterility testing is a plus, but not required;

  • Experience working in a cleanroom, and familiarity with GMP and LIMS;

  • A proactive attitude, capable of working independently as well as in a team, flexible, and well-organized;

  • At least 4 year of relevant work experience (including relevant internships);

  • Strong data recording and documentation skills.
